Narendra Modi in Jaipur LIVE updates: Over three lakh people from across Rajasthan are expected to come to Jaipur for the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jaipur today around 12:30 pm where he will be shown an audio-visual presentation of experience sharing by 12 beneficiaries of various central and state government schemes. The interaction will be moderated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

The state administration, which has been preparing for the event for a week, has deployed its entire machinery for ahead of the PM’s visit. Over two lakh people from across Rajasthan are expected to arrive in the city for the event.

Besides addressing the public meeting, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for thirteen urban infrastructure projects, with a total outlay of over Rs 2,100 crore.

Additional Director General of Police N R K Reddy said, “We have called in 18 SPs from nearby districts. They are mainly officials who have served in the city and are aware of its topography.” 

The government would pay Rs 20 per kilometre for each bus, adding up to an expenditure of about Rs 7.2 crore, according to the order. The largest number of buses are planned to arrive from Alwar, Udaipur and Ajmer districts. In Jaipur district alone, 532 buses are expected to ferry the beneficiaries to the amrudon ka bagh stadium.

So, the Rajasthan government is spending over Rs 7 crore to ferry beneficiaries of welfare schemes to a rally which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address here tomorrow, according to an official order. The money for this will largely come from funds for the schemes.

PM Modi is expected to interact with beneficiaries of 12 government schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.

Sensitive areas in the city have been covered by CCTV cameras, and temporary control rooms will alert field units if they spot any suspicious activity. 

PM Modi is expected to land after 12.30 pm at a helipad, built especially for him, at Sawai Man Singh Stadium. “There will be around 20 superintendents of police present near the venue along with 11,000 police personnel,” said Additional Director of Police, law and order, NRK Reddy.

A letter issued by the General Administration Department stated that Rs 722.53 lakh (Rs 7.22 crore) has been sanctioned for the purpose of transportation for the programme. “More than 2 lakh beneficiaries will come to Jaipur to take part in the programme,” said Jaipur divisional commissioner T Ravikanth.

Rajasthan government has arranged 5,579 buses to bring people to the venue, officials said. “We have allocated different areas in the adjacent districts of Jaipur for people from specific places so that they get an opportunity to stop over and rest before going to the programme. Apart from the beneficiaries, we are also making arrangements for people of Jaipur who would come to see the PM,” said Ravikanth.
