The Hindu’s mobile app Briefcase bagged the silver trophy for Best Digital News Start Up at the Third South Asia Digital Media Awards at the 26th annual conference of WAN-IFRA India 2018 here on Wednesday. Editor Mukund Padmanabhan received the award at a ceremony held on the first day of the two-day event.
The silver medal was also shared by Sakal Media’s Agrowon App, while the gold trophy was bagged by Madras Courier. The Hindu Group’s Sportstar Live bagged the bronze trophy for Best in Lifestyle, Sports, Entertainment Website or Mobile Services. Senior Assistant Editor (Sports) V.V. Subrahmanyam received the award on behalf of Sportstar Live.
